A scarred world

In my long absence from this space, our world has been scarred.

I don't need to add my words to the juggernaut of coverage for an event that will be remembered throughout our days. My good thoughts and prayers go out to those continuing to struggle and prevail after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

I implore everyone to give of their hearts and handbags.
